As news continues to flash on leftist violence, and – wonder of wonders – total virus cases fail to fall, a cultural change is afoot. Oddly, against the trendline, this change may be good. Americans are getting reintroduced to their Constitution – and the Second Amendment.
Here is what is happening – and why it matters. Mob behavior and violent crime are spiking. Socialist/anarchistic forces, originating in leftist cities, have overpowered peaceful protests.
As violence continues, Democrat mayors fumble and appease. Fumbling never wins games. Appeasement never works. As Winston Churchill said in WWII, “an appeaser is one who feeds the crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.” In time, it does.
Instability is spreading. As a result, President Trump has moved decisively to protect federal property, stabilize cities and suburbs terrorized by organized promotors of crime and chaos.
Legally, lest there be question, the President has full authority to send federal law enforcement to locations where federal property and equities are at risk. Federal law enforcement already coordinates closely with state and local police in all 50 states.
Federal law enforcement officers already support state and locals in counter-narcotics, counterterrorism, and countering hundreds of categories of crime prosecuted at all levels.
To be clear, co-jurisdictional crimes include advocating overthrow of the government, aggravated assault and battery, arson, assault with a deadly weapon, assaulting federal officers, murder and attempted murder, bombings, harassment, coercion, conspiracy, damage to religious property, demands against the US, drive-by shootings, drug trafficking, falsely claiming citizenship, obstruction of criminal investigations, rescue of seized property, trespassing, treason, vandalism, and other acts.
So, the problem afoot now, especially in Democrat-led states, is that federal law enforcement is limited – 100,000 to protect 330 million, a ratio of federal officers to citizens that is 1:3,300. If Democrat leaders in enflamed states refuse to deploy local law enforcement, forbid responding to 911, or push defunding, delegitimizing, and denying protection to police, these troubled jurisdictions become unprotected. Without enforcement, rule of law does not exist.
That we are even discussing this is mind-boggling, in a nation that has long balanced individual liberty, equal opportunity and order. Americans respect conscientious law enforcement.
Until 2020, no major political party – even for opportunistic reasons – advocated lawlessness for political gain, or advanced chaos as an alternative to ordered liberty. No mayor allowed their city to burn, violence and agitation to multiply, and citizens to go unprotected.
Yet that is the policy being promoted – with horrific results – by Democrat leaders. In a divided nation – increasingly unprotected, fumbling, and appeasing, where is the good news? Just here.
Americans of all stripes are re-learning why our Founders inserted that Second Amendment, affirming our right to self-defense. It affirms “security of a free state” requires that “the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”
As George Washington, wrote: “Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself.” Alexander Hamilton wrote: “The Constitution shall never be construed … to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.” They should know – they wrote it.
With rediscovery of our sacred right to self-defense, comes good news. Americans in cities and suburbs are not taking bad leadership and rising violence lying down. They are stepping up.

The trend is now accelerating. By July, fears of social unrest sent gun buying sky-high. One report notes: “The gun industry has never seen anything like 2020,” an “explosion of sales driven by concerns over rising crime, protests, the coronavirus crisis, and the presidential election …,” adding “new sales and customer data collected from gun stores are even more shocking than the latest historic level of FBI background checks …” See, https://patriotrising.com/arms-industry-gun-buys-up-95-ammo-139-sales-to-blacks-jump-58/.
In short, gun purchases “nearly doubled in the first six months of 2020,” as ammunition “surged 139 percent.” The jump crosscuts demographics. To protect families, buyers are “blacks, Asians, and Hispanics,” with the “highest overall firearm sales… black men and women,” a “58.2 percent increase in purchases.” Why? Without police, communities become insecure.
What does higher violence, poor leadership, and rising firearm sales mean? Americans love their freedom, know insecurity when they see it, and want to be safe. They are tiring of leftist agitation and violence. They do not trust Democrat leaders to stop it, not with fumbling and appeasement.
This is a consequential year. The future will be defined by whether we protect rule of law in unsettled times. As the year progresses and election nears, what may be unseen is how America’s silent, rearming majority feels. More may prioritize rule of law. We will see on November 3.

A strong moral compass is required to keep our country strong. There are truths written in God’s word, The Holy Bible, that guide us for a moral and righteous living. When we neglect and abandon these truths we loose the ability to self govern and a void is created and filled by a tyrannical leadership.
Our founding fathers, through their wisdom, experiences and the word of God, drafted the constitution with principal taken from scriptures. It is time that we return to the these principles and teach them to our children and grandchildren. It is time that our schools teach both the constitution and the Bible. Both are indispensable for a civil and a just society.

For me, his lying about most things in all his speeches has turned my stomach since 2007. This time, during a funeral service inside a Christian Church, went way beyond belief.
Now I know that there’s some, probably not many on this forum, that may believe everything Mr. Obama said was true. So, naturally, they would disagree with my beliefs that he’s a liar, been a liar, and misdirects, misleads, twists truth, and denies even doing it all when – like the media has ever done this – confronted for doing it!

Two days in a row, Trump has said he will send in National Guard if Portland does not take care of problem. I thought that only the states can call in the National Guard or am I wrong??? Think that is why Trump sent a mixture of officers to Porlland a couple weeks ago so that it would end quickly.

The Bible and not the Koran, Vidas, etc. was upheld as the supreme source of our land. Of the 55 Founders of our Constitution, around 52 would be classified as Orthodox Christians and they influenced the few who were not, not vice versa! I’m concerned about our Republican Congressional members and question why no charges have been brought forward on those who lied and participated in the whole Mueller scam. One thing you can say about the Dems, they always stick together and are in lockstep; not so with RINOs. There’s always a Romney or some defector causing an obstruction to justice. All those players from Comey to Clapper to the rest of them have been elevated to celebrity status and are getting wealthy with their book and TV deals. Why are they getting away with this after sabotaging our Constitution and lying to the American public? I hold our party responsible for their apathy.

It’s refreshing to see people finally see for what these liberal radicals have done and have been doing since Woodrow Wilson. The results are in: people who have gone through school curricula geared towards socialism are now “mature” adults, young adults and children. They were taught about the the sins of America- slavery and racism. I thought slavery existed everywhere, you can find stories in the bible. That decision that says, we will use lethal force, if there is no other way, to defend our friends, our families, even complete strangers, if necessary, to defend them against the felonious assault of a criminal.But, make no mistake, the Second Amendment has ZERO to do with hunting, or even really, with protecting ourselves from the criminal element. The primary and fundamental reason the Founders put the right to keep and bear arms in the Bill of Rights, is so that, We the People would have the means, as a last resort, to resist an overbearing and despotic government.
We do not receive our rights from the United States Constitution, these are unalienable rights, rights bestowed upon us, as our beautiful Declaration of Independence states, by our Creator. Our Creator, capital “C”, meaning almighty God. The Founders also referred to these rights as “Natural Rights”, and reasoned that, if these rights were bestowed upon us by our Creator, and not by government, then, no government has the authority to restrict or rescind these rights. They went so far as to even say that: “…the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed”. The Supreme Court got it right when they ruled that the Second Amendment is an individual right and no militia membership is required, then they got it wrong when they said that the Second Amendment is not an absolute right and that government restrictions were appropriate. I`ve yet to hear a valid argument explaining how a right the Founders expressly stated shall not be infringed, ought to be infringed upon by that government.
Listen to what else the Declaration of Independence says: “… That, whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.”

They need this & spend it & data shows most people saved last one , so look in the mirror & ask what will I do with mine & could I live on the $325 per week otherwise. A “National Emergency” of Turmoil in four major U.S. cities would very quickly put boots on the ground, have martial law declared, and objectors on their way to FEEMA “re-education camps”.

As a veteran I swore an oath to defend AMERICA from our enemies foriegn and domestic, that would be the demonrats, socialist, communists, and the braindead morons that support them.
In the 1960’s a man named Mao Tse Tung told young people in China that the nation had suffered because of the “rich landowners,” the “bourgeois capitalists.” Those words were used to put a target on the back of any who owned anything. Literally. If they were prospering, and you were poor, then it was unfair and action was required. He organized the youth into groups called the Red Guards to bring about social justice. They were empowered to take any action they wanted against the the adults around them. So they destroyed or stole their property and put them on public platforms to be beaten with sticks. They created a humiliating punishment called “the airplane” in which the tortured soul’s arms were pulled straight behind the body like swept jet wings, and then they took clippers and cut their hair off to the scalp with a viciousness that left the victim bloodied.
The wrath spread to any that the mob wanted to target. So not surprisingly, they also beat their own teachers and destroyed schools. Anyone of influence was viewed as a threat to the new social order and purged. Religious and cultural relics were destroyed. All of this was part of the plan to destroy the “Four Olds” – old ideas, old customs, old culture and old habits. Society collapsed from the chaos and pain, all carried out in the name of socio-economic purification. It had to be done. Mao smiled approvingly, cementing his power via these young agents of terror.
This Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution that began in 1966 ultimately resulted in an estimated 1.5 million deaths and banishment of 20 million more (to rural areas and poverty). In the end, the people of China were left powerless and the state grew into the all-powerful communist regime that we know today, the one that “disappears” journalists, doctors, professors, ethnic and religious minorities, and anyone else who exercises unapproved speech.
And the poor are still poor.
And here we are in the USA in 2020, with mobs ravaging business owners. Somewhere along the way in years past the voices of insurrection found and collected disenfranchised youths and whispered in their collective ears in a way that would make Mao smile. They heard the message of unfairness, of social injustice, and it resonated to them. Their anger was built to an explosive level. And then a sudden spark, the catalyst that the fathers of anarchy had been waiting for. This, they tell them, is the time. Go out and inflict pain to achieve justice. Tear down and destroy. Loot and burn. Make the privileged kneel and confess their sins. Do it with a righteous vengeance to any who have more than you or who dare to defy your power. Tear down symbols of the past. Enforce limits on speech. A new day has come. You, the youth of America, are the key. And so they have.
Ultimately, they will be discarded, just as they were in China. The puppet masters will have achieved their goal, the dismantling of the American Olds … individual liberty and the system of capitalism. The state will rule with supreme authority, freed of the limitations of the old outdated Constitution for the sake of New Ideals. The mob will have served its purpose.
And the poor will still be poor.

What I do not understand is why so many of the states have gone public that they do not want Federal troops coming in? What do they think or see when they say this. Seattle is a good example of poor control of riots. You burn up a police car & then taxpayers pay for a new one ??
Trump did not attend memorial on Capitol Hill yesterday for John Lewis. Seems like this would have been a good time to mend fences & I suspect that it will cost Trump a lot of votes by not attending or announcing in public his support or reasons. I noticed right away that he was not there. This is not the way to try to put down any racial overtones from WH. Was Pence there ?????
I truly pray that it will not come to having to level my weapon on anyone. I swore once I would never again point of fire a weapon at someone. People who speak of civil war have have never in a war. I am prepared and will do whatever is necessary to protect my family. Just sad to me that in this the Greatest Nation ever dreamed of that it could come to this.

Robert B. Charles wrote an excellent article, but there is a glaring error in it that mirrors a common, but false conception of the Second Amendment. He wrote: ” It affirms” security of a free state” require that “the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” Wrong!
Charles has confused the operative clause of the Second Amendment with the prefactory clause.
Consider this, suppose the “blue” states joins in with the Democrat controlled three branches of the Federal Government in oppressing the right to bear arms. You know, the usual suspect states like California, New York, New Jersey, etc, etc. Why on Earth would anyone care about the security of such a free state?
Pssst! Mr. Charles, the intent of the Second Amendment was to give the people a means to resist ANY level of government oppression, not just the Federal level. The problem with the text of the Second Amendment was in using a joint admonishment for two separate clauses, i.e. “…shall not be infringed.” The founder’s error was in thinking that common sense would prevail in the interpretation of the Second Amendment. They could have avoided much controversy if they had written the Second Amendment using two sentences. To wit: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state shall not be infringed. The right of the people to keep and bear Arms, sghall not be infringed.” Instead the founders tried to make their verbiage concise by using the enjoiner, “…shall not be infringed.” only once instead of twice. This gives the liberal elite a chance to wrongly jumble the right of a state to maintain a militia, and the right of individual people to keep and bear their own firearms, no matter what type, or in what number. This is where I ask the anti-gun liberals to justify strict regulations on firearms. “What danger does a competent, law-abiding adult citizen pose in owning a firearm?” That’s when I also ask: “Why does the government, (at any level), need to know the serial number/numbers on the privately owned firearms of righteous citizens?”

reasoning. The average “trusted” political representative who lives behind gated walls, loses little sleep over the security of the citizens who must face the Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and other George Soros paid thugs.
The privately owned firearm is now a symbol of liberty. If we ever witness a general upheaval, that firearm will become, once again, tools of an oppressed populace. By the way, the privately owned rifle should, … no…must, be at least as formidable as the ones being carried by the Jack-booted government thugs. You know, like the AR-15 type rifle, which just happens to be the most commonly owned firearm in the United States. The liberal elite call these rifles “assault weapons”.
Their fear of such firearms are well-founded. They know that one cannot oppress an armed people.

When mobs rule, we naturally react. Some with fear, others with anger, and most of the decent hardworking, honest, and contributors to society, are increasingly angry and beyond disgusted. We want it stopped.
Escalation increases, through the complicity of what clandestine groups are doing by some, and funded by people who want to kill America, but who cannot, will not, and must not be successful.
As the siege increases, the damage, harm to people, and disgusting criminal behavior remains uncontrolled. Many, in the millions, want to react and stop this from happening. To do that as we are reading, these angry Americans are increasingly angry and urge stopping the acts of violence by whatever means necessary. That rhetoric has now turned to increased statements of violence to the destructors and cause of the turmoil. We read of comments for increased push back.
As some elected officials condone the destruction and violence for purely political reasons, all of which is irrational and they must be held accountable for allowing. When citizens who pay the bills are subjected to this violence and destruction, the inept elected are to blame!
So, where do we go from here? We can see the elected officials stand to law and order and stop this wholesale violence, or it becomes the duty of citizens to stop this and to do so immediately.
This is what I am reading and understand the frustration/ What will occur? Greater escalating violence? The end is clear, based on Americans and their history as Americans – and, it not very pretty, but becoming more the need to end this.
